Second Semester Has Come :)

I made it back to school all safe and sound. I am totally glad that leaving home is done. I absolutely loved every minute at home; but saying good-bye and actually leaving was one of the hardest things I had to do. Even though I will be home in 11 weeks, I HATE saying good-bye. Blah! But I am all good now :)

Well, I started my second semester of medical school today (well technically yesterday, but this still counts as yesterday for me).

I still have a hard time actually believing that I am already done a full semester of medical school. It seems like just yesterday that I was studying physics and chemistry for the sole reason of getting into medical school. Now I am here, studying and learning everything I wished I could have been learning during my undergrad times. It is nothing short of an amazing opportunity; to study exactly what I want!!!

This semester seems pretty darn interesting. I am most looking forward to my Physical Diagnosis class in which I get to learn how to examine every part of the body. Basically I get to learn how to do a complete physical. I learn most of the examination techniques on fellow classmates during weekly labs, while other 'certain' examinations are performed on mannequins. Next year we learn how to do these exams on paid (hopefully EXTREMELY well) nurses from the local hospital.

It was nice to see all of my fellow med students again. There are some pretty great people here in the program! I am continuously amazed at the general 'niceness' of the people here. There are some few exceptions of which I will not go into more detail.

On a lighter note, I am the QUEEN procrastination! Who knew that doing laundry could be so fun?!!! Hahaha, honestly, I think that I did more laundry than school work today! Ah well, tomorrow will most definitely be more productive. Well I am off to bed now because I am totally convinced that my maxillary sinuses are going to explode inside my face!
